Shrouded in mystery and glamour, a masquerade encompasses the joy of self-expression and the delight of discovering the world’s hidden beauty. The allure of the masquerade is its power to transform our mundane, earthy world into something magical. This year’s theme invites you to depict inner truth and celebrate life’s wonders. 

Thank you for your involvement in the 2020 edition of Magnolia. This publication exists to serve Maryville’s literary and artistic community, and we are proud to exhibit the talent of our contributors. 

We would also like to thank our donors for supporting Magnolia’s mission and Dr. Germaine Murray, our faculty advisor, for her enduring belief in her students and this magazine. 
Our gratitude also goes out to our committed editorial staff, whose perseverance and hard work is immensely appreciated, and to our graphic design team for their creative talent and their assistance in the publication of our online magazine. Magnolia would not be possible without you.
