Austin Young

Nursing Major—1st Year

Tears are the words we cannot speak,

When emotions are strong but communication is weak,

when we see lots of light or lots of dark,

Tears light up our eyes and flood around like Noah's ark,

They are like the raindrops coming from the storm inside,

Drowns the heart with heavy strong emotion tides,

I wrote this poem in a time of sadness,

but know tears can also come from gladness,

People die every day along with people that are born,

but it's different when they suffer and live a life torn,

Shredded in pieces by bullies and fools,

In a place we learn this place we call school,

They call for help they actually try,

But then people ignore them when they say they want to die,

Just know tears are the words the heart can't speak,

And that battles are tough and are hard to beat,

And now I have one thing left to say,

And that one thing is to ask for you to pray.
