LETTER FROM THE EDITORS

The seasons of life are inexorable force - an ever-present backdrop to every moment

of our lives. And while the seasons may be unrelenting, they are not static. This edition of Magnolia aims to showcase all sides, good and bad, of life's seasons. Following the path of another academic year, join us in a journey through Fall's warm colors and the first signs of nature's decay; through Winter's pictuersque wonderlands and frozen wastelands; through Spring's bleak rainy days and sunny new beginnings; and through Summer's agaonizing heatwaves and unbridled sense of adventure.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every person who submitted

pieces for this edition. Thank you for sharing part of your lives, stories, and souls with us to show to the world. At heart we all have a story begging to be told and Magnolia is honored to be able to help you share yours.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to those who have made this edition of

Magnolia possible: Jon DeWitt of Hi/Tec Copy Center, Laurie Eisenbach, for her unrelenting support, and our faculty advisor Dr. Germaine Murray, for her unshakeable, unwavering beleif in Magnolia and all that it stands for.

Magnolia would not be possible without the hard-working and dedicated staff of the

editorial team. We came from a variety of backgrounds, fields of study, and experiences in life - all of which has created a truly diverse conversation and outlook on the creative process to piece together this edition. We are forever grateful for the editors who took a leap of faith and joined us in this creation. We are so thankful for our graphic design team whose artistic skills and visuals for this edition are phenomenal - far beyond anything we dreamed of.

It has been an honor to serve as Editors-in-Chief this year. It is our pleasure to present

Volume XIX, the 2023 edition of Magnolia Literary & Art Magazine.
